In a nutshell?

Hi there! Welcome to firestartr – my own modest parking spot on the tinterweb. Here I park my thoughts, musings, raves & hypertext about digital life, the universe & everything. I make no pretence of being focused.

Born somewhere up north but made in London.

On any given day I can be found planning creative communications, tweeting enthusiastically, testing the latest applications and eating jelly sweets.

What do I do?

I am a Digital Media Director with a background in online marketing and communications and web programming. A rare combination, I know. But one that makes for a full spectrum, deep understanding of digital strategy, production and management.

<elevatorpitch>As a digital media strategist I spend my time helping businesses/ organisations to get to know their customers better, differentiate their experiences and build stronger online relationships. In short, in a crowded digital universe, I work on helping brands to be relevant and get results.</elevatorpitch>

When I’m not working

I live in a lovely part of west London with my partner, drive a yellow Mini Cooper, am a  Star Wars (original trilogy) addict and love canal boating. Oh yes, I am an Apple fan, Wii Jedi and general gadget geek – in a meaningful way of course!

Where I’m at

Home is London. Previously I’ve lived and worked happily in Seattle and the Tri-State Region (NYC).

What can I say, I’ve made some great friends along the way and have had the pleasure of working with and learning from some extremely talented web designers, developers and communications specialists on both sides of the Atlantic.
