Are we Equal? International Women’s Day

March 8th, 2011 is International Women’s day. This hard hitting, candid video, narrated by Dame Judi Dench asks, are we equal?

The film begins with Dench as M asking “We’re equals, aren’t we 007?”, as Daniel Craig walks towards the camera. “Yet it is 2011 and a man is still likely to earn more money than a woman, even one doing the same job.”

This film, produced by Bond producer Barbara Broccoli, was commissioned by a coalition of charities campaigning on various equality issues. Rarely has a film, that only runs to 2 minutes, said so much. This is truth. This is truth that leads us all to realise we still need to fight for change.
